How it works

You can't cut a hole in toughened glass, or in a sealed unit that's already made. So we order a new toughened unit with the hole cut before the glass is toughened, sized for your cat flap, and fit it in your door or window.

The unit is made to order, so we give you a fitting date when you book.

Which cat flaps work?

Most cat flaps made for glass work, including manual, magnetic and microchip flaps. Some need a separate glass-fitting kit or adaptor, so check the box or send us the model and we'll check.

Can you cut a hole in my existing glass?

No. Toughened glass shatters if it's cut, and cutting a sealed unit breaks the seal. The hole has to be made in new glass before it's toughened, so we make a new unit.

How long does it take?

The unit is made to order, so we give you a date when you book. Fitting it is one visit.

Can a cat flap go in a window?

Yes, if your cat can reach it, for example from a low window or with a step outside. Send a photo and we'll tell you.

How much does it cost?

A unit with a cat-flap cut-out is from £325, fitted. We confirm the price from your photos and the flap model.
