One visit in most cases. The van carries the common parts, so most hinge, handle and lock repairs are done on the day.

Windows we repair

uPVC windows: hinges, handles, locking mechanisms, draughts and tilt and turn hardware.

Aluminium windows: we replace the glass and repair a lot of the hardware. Send a photo and we'll check we can get the parts before we quote.

Timber windows: we replace the glass in timber frames, putty or beaded, and in single glazing. See timber and single glazing.

Questions people ask

Can you repair my window instead of replacing it?

Almost always. Windows that drop, stick, won't lock or let in draughts usually need new hinges, a new locking mechanism or adjusting. If the frame itself is damaged we'll tell you.

How long does a window repair take?

Most hinge, handle and lock repairs are done in one visit, because the van carries the common parts. If we need to order a part, we'll tell you when we quote.

Do you charge for coming out?

No. There's no call-out charge. We give you a fixed price first, and you only pay for the work you agree to.

Can I send a video instead of a photo?

Yes, a short video is often better for windows that won't close or lock. Send it on WhatsApp.
