Tilt and turn window repairs
Tilt and turn windows are great until the hardware wears or the window comes off a hinge. We re-hang them, replace worn parts and set them up so both ways of opening work.
Send a photo for a fixed price, usually within 15 minutes in opening hours.
What goes wrong
Tilt and turn windows open two ways: tilted in at the top for air, or swung in like a door. If the handle is turned the wrong way while the window is open, the window can come off one hinge and hang from a corner.
Over time the hinges, stays and locking parts also wear, so the window sticks, drops or won't lock.
What we do
We re-hang the window, replace worn or damaged hardware, and adjust it so it tilts, turns and locks smoothly.
Repairs start at £185. We give you a fixed price from your photos or a short video before we start.
Questions people ask
My tilt and turn window is hanging from one corner. What should I do?
Support it so it can't fall, don't force the handle, and send us a photo. It usually needs re-hanging, and sometimes a new hinge or stay. Repairs are from £185.
Can you get parts for my window?
For most common tilt and turn hardware, yes. Send a photo of the hinges and the edge of the opening part, and we'll check before we quote.
Why do tilt and turn repairs cost more than other window repairs?
The hardware is more complicated and takes longer to set up. We give you a fixed price from your photos or video before we start, so there are no surprises.
Do you repair tilt and turn windows in flats?
Yes. They're common in flats and newer blocks. Tell us the floor and how the window opens, and we'll plan the visit.
