What we collect and why
When you get in touch by WhatsApp, phone, email or the forms on this website, we collect what you send us: usually your name, phone number, email address, postcode or address, photos and details of the window, door or glass, and the best time to visit. When you call, we see your phone number. We use this to reply, give you a price and arrange a visit.
When you use the price estimate on our misted glass page, the sizes and choices you enter stay in your browser until you add your details to see your price. Then we receive your details with the units you priced, the prices and a reference number, and we use them in the same way.
When we do a job, we keep your address, what we did, what you paid and our messages about it. We use this to do the work, invoice you, deal with any guarantee claim and keep our accounts.
Landlords and letting agents give us their business contact details and, for each job, the tenant's name and phone number, so we can arrange access.
On this website, Google Analytics and Google Ads only run if you accept cookies. See our cookie policy.
Our lawful bases
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote, at your request, and to carry out the job you agree to.
- To meet our legal duties, such as keeping accounts and tax records.
- Our legitimate interests: keeping records of enquiries and jobs, handling guarantee claims, and arranging access with tenants for landlords and agents.
- Your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We only share it with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the forms you send.
- Google, which provides our email and, if you accept cookies, analytics and advertising.
- WhatsApp, if you message us there. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers how it handles your messages.
- Software we use to manage enquiries, quotes and jobs, including an AI assistant that helps us read and reply to messages.
- Our accountant, and suppliers where a job needs it.
Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months. Job, invoice and guarantee records: 6 years, for tax and guarantee purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere. Contact us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
